Fits and Starts

Hello
I saw Jenny this week and she shamed me saying "It's gotten to the point where I've stopped checking." Pregnant pause and sigh. Alas, here I am guilty and beaten into posting. We should all be so lucky to have someone in our lives to kick our asses without resorting to violence. Just guilt. Ha, that's funny, you can read that sentence in two ways and both are true.
So.
So I'm engaged. That's crazy. (I sound like Brian Fellows.) I'm super excited about the wedding. So far we've booked the reception site, the caterer, the photographer, asked our bridal party and made our (enormous) guest list. I'm looking at dresses and Jenny suggested (after looking through an enormous wedding magazine and complaining about girls who are far too thin and dresses that looked more edible than wearable) that I post my favorites and let y'all vote. OK?

ok, so in no particular order:
1. you posted! yay!!!! See? It wasn't so hard...(so what if I'm like a month behind. I'm so glad I checked again anyway. :)

2. The dress selection is difficult, and I approve of all of them. owever, I have to say I'm most conflicted between #4 and #2. We can discuss this further in person. Obviously, price is a factor.

3. The hall is lovely. Nice choice.

4. You might want to stop putting "http://www" in front of your links, it makes them not work.

5. Keep posting!

A girl after my own heart with her wedding planned a month after she's engaged.

I am with Jenny on #2 and #4. So pretty. May I take this moment to make a plug for some kind of strappy sleeve thing. No matter how well they fit that bad boy before the big day, these dresses are so heavy by the end of the night I was pulling up my strapless gown every 45 seconds on while I tried to shake it like a Polaroid picture to my beloved Outkast. Some kind of cap sleeve or strappy something might have prevented all the classy pics of me trying to hike my dress up. So out of practicality I'd say #4. Jenny is an excellent wedding dress consultant and actually helped me picked mine. I highly recommend her.

I am so excited for you both. Congrats!

p.s. I never stopped checking the blog, it just hurt a little more each time when nothing had changed.

Jenny and I have already discussed how I'll be going with the lacey sleeve things in order to avoid the whole pulling up constantly on my dress dilemma. The good thing about all of these is that I can change the sleeves to whatever I like.
Yes, it's true we practically had our wedding planned out for the last year.
We cam't throw bird seed as we leave the reception, what should we throw?

Jenny and I have already discussed and decided that I am going with the lacey sleeve things in order toa void the constantly pulling up my dress situation. I am also, in general, terrified of my ham arms.
Jeff and I have had this thing planned out forever. He's a good bagel, letting me get excited about our wedding way before we were even engaged.
Yay for weddings!

What to throw, what to throw. . .

For photography's sake, I have seen really great pics when rose petals were thrown, or those little fuzz balls from the 80's. Let me clarify. You know those little puffs that you get at a craft store and then sew onto the backs of socks or to a blanket? My friend had those in her wedding colors and we threw those and it looked awesome in the photos.

Of course if it's a mess issue, I'm not sure that they will look any more kindly upon little puffs than bird seed.
